I help organizations who want to exploit cloud and infrastructure automation technologies more effectively so they can meet their goals.
It isn’t enough to fit these technologies into existing ways of working. New engineering practices are needed, new service models, new change management practices, and new approaches to technical strategy are needed for infrastructure operations to become truly Lean and responsive, rather than continuing to be a bottleneck for business delivery.
I normally bring teams of ThoughtWorks to engage with clients to understand their goals, challenges, and constraints. We co-create plans for organizational and technological change, and work to co-deliver implementation. This may include practices and approaches like DevOps, Lean, Agile, and of course Infrastructure as Code.
O’Reilly has published my book, “Infrastructure as Code: Building servers in the cloud” available at http://oreil.ly/1JKIBVe.
